Cisco ADSM-IDM Launcher not connecting

I have recently installed ADSM-IDM onto a new laptop and it would not connect to any of our ASAs. After some testing I have got it connected by changing the default proxy settings which Java was using. I am sure this issue was due to the Web filtering client installed so will not affect all machines unless a proxy is configured for Internet access.
Step to fix:
1. Open Windows "Control Panel"
2. Open Java applet
3. Click on Network Settings button.
4. Change to "Direct Connection"
Run launcher and now it logs into ASA.
