The User account does not have permission to run this task
Windows (Task Scheduler) Tuesday, 03 January 2023 by paul

After a Windows server upgrade to 2019 a scheduled task fails to run with the error "The User account does not have permission to run this task".

Easiest way to fix this is to export the task as XML. Delete the task and then import the task from the XML file you created.

Just go to task properties and select Setting Tab, the the bottom Change the Do not start a new Instance and select the last option "Stop the Existing Instance" and click ok. Then reverse the same settings. wait for the next auto start and it will start.
